A wise man once told me ....
Fuck boomer, he is an a1 wanker who hates the Bengals. Even Cowher an ex steeler gives more love to the Bengals than boomer the arsehole. |

Boomer was a great technical passer and led the Bengals to the Superbowl.
Yet he is still astonishingly, astronomically and spectacularly wrong on this. |

he has never been a GM in his life, fuck that. at least marvin basically does a Gms job. id rather have marvin at GM and cowher at HC but he would never come here cuz he wouldnt want to deal with MB.

It's hard for people who have felt burned by Mike Brown to go easy on the Bengals thereafter. Boomer is exhibit A. Peter King is exhibit B -- have you ever read the venom he consistently spits at the club in his CNNSI.com articles?
Reality here is that you don't drop the only WR who produced for you the prior season when he continues to simply be the harmless clown off-the-field that he's been forever. A lot of hard core guys (e.g., Archie Manning) who have met Chad state that they like #85, that he is good for the game, that he is well meaning and that he works hard. Boomer came from a different generation of the game when WRs were less likely to be prima donas -- they guys like Michael Irvin came and changed the scope of being a WR in the league. Further, Boomer forgets what a pain in the ass he himself was during his first go around with the club. I was in favor of trading Chad two years ago when all his negative BS started. The team kept him, and he managed to keep decent production. He's also learned to refrain from being part of the problem. I think that I was wrong and that keeping him probably had more value to the club over time than any draft picks we'd have gotten. Now he is starting on the decline of his career, and we need to find more WR talent to augment whatever he can still give. But he's still a good player, a great route runner and a good draw. And he has treated the fans in Cincy very well over the past several years. Let's not forget that. |

Thats basically what I was going to say before I read your post. Marvin at GM and Cowher at HC . Cowher's a great motivator , not sure about him as far as a talent evaluator .
