If Benson went down I would feel much better about going into the playoffs with a proven load carrier, LJ can be dominating when healthy, he has to resurrect his career and he will be on his best behavior

going into the playoffs counting on Leonard and Scott could be devastating

He has to be and will be on his best behavior so that he can extend his career, Leonard and Scott are unproven, I just want proven veteren that can handle the load in case Benson were to go down, I could care less what kind of a person he is, he could be a mass murderer for all I care, I just want to win

I'm pleased with Leonard and Scott. Scott doesnt get the ball a whole lot but he has done ok when he does have it. Nothing spectacular but he's fine. Leonard is doing well, he makes great catches out of the back field for decent yardage. I think as the year goes on and gets closer to play-offs then we could possibly see Benson getting more rest and Leonard and Scott may be used more.

attitude and dropping F bombs don't concern me. My concern would be the free fall in his skills ever since he put up the massive amount of carries.

Problem with signing not only him, but any player is roster space.

Is James Johnson still on the practice squad? He's not a world beater, but I like him. Pretty much all we can do now is find diamonds in the rough for the practice squad.

That being said, CALM DOWN STORM! Ceds fine right now.

They don't ride their old role players to victory, that's not even close at all. They pick up smart players with gas left in the tank. I don't know if you've seen LJ run, but he isn't smart, he's a cancer, he hasn't ran well in years and he has nothing to offer any playoff team at all.

We are going to re-sign Scott Kooistra, I wouldnt mind cutting him to bring in LJ, but here is the thing, you can't inactivate Scott or Leonard because both make plays on the special team side of the ball, if you inactivate Leonard you are losing a huge third down back, if you inactivate Scott you are losing a ST player. LJ I still feel like can be very productive, but the way it is looking we still have James Johnson on PS, so LJ no way fits into our equation. But two power backs would really psychically wear down tough defenses, plus if LJ gets onto a contending team, I think he tries and gives the final year he deserves, I mean he is turning 30 next week.

Dude just isn't any good anymore. Power runners like him never last long, RB's in general have short careers but the power guys even more so. It's been proven over a long period of time that even the best only have so many carries in them. That's why teams rarely go hard after any RB's over 30, no matter how good they've been, the deterioration of their effectiveness is in the mail once they hit 30 if they even manage to be productive for that long.

If we resign Benson and he balls out for the next three years...I would still want a first round RB by 2012 at the latest if not 2011 even. Palmer should be good to go until the late 20teens, by early next decade, we'll have to get him another RB cuz Ced won't last that long. RB's never do.

James Johnson is on the PS and I'd much rather we plugged him into the rotation. He has also done well with limited playing time.

without leonard on this team we have AT LEAST 2 more losses. scott is going to be a stud, signing a RB would result in him being released. if you cant see that then politely fuck off

Leonard has been good for us but that's assuming someone else couldn't do what he did. He's solid, but he isn't a worldbeater or someone who decides game, fuck shitty ass Chris Perry in 05 could have done what Leonard has.

Damn. When did this place become the "official" boards? Just because a player's on the market doesn't mean you should go after them. If Bill waived Hillary would you pick her up?

Johnson is not the player he used to be and has a serious attitude problem. We already have a good runner and two decent change of pace guys. If Benson went down, we'd start Leonard, which is something he did in St. Louis.

Besides, as long as he still thinks he's the real deal he's going to want money.
